On a day that was likely to be wet and windy, I anchored in a small bay near the Deer Island Thorofare in Maine. I found myself near this tiny island and immediately made a quick 9 x 12 inch sketch. Back in the studio I sought to recapture that moment, on a larger scale. I recreated some of the brushstrokes with a 3 inch wide house painting brush! See price
