| A Sailor's Dream Oil Painting on Canvas. 16 x 20 inches Inspired by dreaming of sailing through Jaquish Gut. The "Gut" is a narrow passage near Harpswell, Maine between the tip of Bailey Island and the rocky uninhabited island to the south. I would sail the long way outside all the bouys which although safer can often be rough and time consuming. After one such trip, I saw a large schooner run through the narrow Gut and determined that if they could do it then certainly my small boat could! This was the third painting I produced after becoming a full-time artist. SOLD in a Gallery Artists show at South Shore Arts Center, Cohasset, MA. |
