This was my view before sunrise when I began the painting. To get the whole panorama onto a canvas I had to imagine myself looking down on the harbor. The hill on the right on which the sun had already risen is Duck Harbor Mountain. The Casey Cutter OWL was moored next to my own Cape Dory.
